Message
The flexible printed circuit (FPC) business, which was established in the research division of Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. in 1969, has continued to expand globally, meeting the diverse needs of the electronics industry, including advanced information technology, multi-functionality, and miniaturization.
The environment surrounding the electronics industry is currently undergoing more drastic change than ever before. We will continue to build on the technological capabilities we have developed thus far and, by leveraging the collective strength of the Sumitomo Electric Group, will proactively take on challenges in new technological fields.
Going forward, we will continue to propose total services, from circuit design to mounting modules, to customers around the world, and by achieving this, all of our employees will work together to become a company that is widely trusted and relied upon by society.

Sumitomo Electric Printed Circuits develops and manufactures various products based on its unique technologies. Proper protection and management of those products based on intellectual property rights (IPRs) is an important issue for our business management. Therefore, while promoting technical development, we are actively committed to the appropriate management of technical know-how and internal data as well as acquisition and use of IPRs such as patent rights and design rights. At the same time, we pay scrupulous attention and respect to the IPRs of other companies.
